收函平安！中文学校在老师会议中，四级二班武旻芳老师向众教职人员分享她为了用多元化方式、来提高学生中文阅读能力，经过多方查询研究，以自己的孩子做为试验后，特别推荐一个读书 网站 ：ichinesereader.com，共有二十等级的书籍，可以免费看书两周，请家长们让孩子从第一级开始试阅，再向各班级老师登记订阅，订阅的人数越多，价格的折扣越多，请大家踊跃订阅。
中文学校将在二月二十四日下午两点半至三点半举办中国春节学生表演，各班将有精彩演出，届时请您们来观赏，并欢迎邀请您们的亲朋好友来共襄盛会。
中文学校绘画课的学生最近已着手参加图书馆的书签绘画比赛，若其他学生有兴趣画画、愿意参赛，请向绘画老师和或校方索取表格，另外在三月份举办乒乓球比赛，四月份举办象棋比赛。

Dear ECS Parents,
Greetings! In the teachers’ meeting last month, one of our fourth grade teacher Ms. Michelle Wu has shared that she has explored various ways to improve students’ reading ability through her own son. She has found out that one website is very helpful and highly recommends every student to try reading the books from the website. The website is ichinesereader.com. It has twenty levels of books and offers a free trial of reading for two weeks. Please encourage your child/children to start reading from the first level and then register with each class teacher. We can group together as the more students subscribe it, the more discounts we receive.
Chinese School will hold a Chinese New Year Celebration performance by our students from 2:30pm to 3:30pm on February 24th. You, your family and friends are cordially invited to come and enjoy the celebration with us.
Chinese School students in drawing class are participating in the bookmark drawing contest hosted by Johnson County library. If any other students would like to participate in this event, please contact the drawing teacher or stop by the school office for the forms. Also, Chinese school will host a Ping Pong Tournament this March and a Chinese chess this April.
The parents on duty in February are Joan Wang (2/3), Ms. Tang (2/10) and Emily Xu (2/24).
